We need to integrate with society: Teachers’ message at alumni reunion
After 32 years, the teachers who studied at the Government Teacher Training Center Diet in Khammam district headquarters organized a grand reunion program on Thursday (April 24). The program was attended by many teachers working in the combined Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda districts along with their teachers. They spent the whole day happily remembering the sweet memories of their studies at Diet College. From morning to evening, they spent their past memories and shared their achievements as teachers and personal stories with their friends. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp with a prayer to Saraswati. Dr. K. Mallesham, who studied with them and is currently the principal of Mulugu Government Degree College, presided over the program. A two-minute silence was observed to mourn the passing of some of the teachers and friends who taught them. The then teachers, Principal Balayya, Ramprasad, Rajeshwara Rao, Vajrayya, Sudarshan Reddy, Satyanarayana, Basavaraju, Vishnu Murthy, attended the program and delivered their messages. Speaking on the occasion, they said that it is a matter of pride that all the teachers who studied TTC education in 1992-93 and today have received awards as ideal teachers and best teachers at the district, state and national level are their students. Since the children of the poor, marginalized and weaker sections are coming to government schools, they should be considered as their children and should be trained as good citizens and laid a good foundation for their future lives. Later, all the batch students felicitated their teachers. Senior journalist and Press Club of Hyderabad treasurer A. Rajesh, Srinivasa Raju, Bhaskar, Byreddy Venkata Reddy, Haritha, Sujatha, Ankam Srinivas, R Lakshmana Rao, Raja Naresh G Venkateshwarlu, R Srinivas Buchi Ramaiah and others participated.
