- Veer Jara Vakil, Nishesh impressed by Hindustani music
Kaharwa 2026 musical tribute organized by Mridula Memorial Foundation was particularly impressive. Famous singer from Mumbai Mr Mohammad Vakil and Hyderabad singer Mr Ravi Nishesh mesmerized with an unforgettable musical performance. On the occasion of Mridula Srivastava’s birth anniversary, the Kaharva 2026 music festival was organized at Bhaskara Auditorium of BM Birla Science Center on Saturday evening. Mr Iftekhar Sharif, the first dual-citizen industrialist who was the chief guest lighting the Jyoti and started the programme by offering a garland to Smt Mridula’s portrait. Vibhavari started with the song “Yeh Kasak Dil Ki Dil Mein” from the debut album given to him by Veer Zara Bollywood movie fame singer and GTV mega final winner Mr Mohammad Vakil. Songs like “Aya Tere Dar Pe Deewana and Kesaria” were sung. Ghazals sung by Jagjit Singh were entertained. Later, Madura music singer Mr Ravi Nishesh’s Hindustani music concert went on enthrallingly. The music lovers were enthralled with six songs and six offerings sung by six Ustads. Famous singers like Chandan Das, Jagjit Singh, Pankaj Udas, Jaswant Singh, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sang with his melodious voice, Mr Thakur Harjeet Singh on tabla, Mr Neeraj on octa pads and Mr Umar Khan on keyboard Mrudula .
